On 14 October, Ann Evans (Health Services) ran the Cardiff Half Marathon to raise money for LUCIA.

Ann completed the run in an excellent time of 2 hours and 15 minutes: just ahead of Batman and Robin but behind the man in the monkey suit!

Thank you to all those who sponsored Ann and a huge, huge thank you to Ann herself, for generously running on behalf of LUCIA.

You have all helped to raise a fantastic sum of £307.50

Every penny of this will go towards supporting projects in Africa!

In early April, members and friends of LUCIA visited Ethiopia at their own personal expense, to audit our supported projects and to find potential suitable new ones.

The opportunity was also used to transport donated items, such as educational materials to schools. The visit also enabled LUCIA to build new links with other organisations working in Africa.
