We'd like to thank Glynn and Ann Pilkington for their very kind donation to LUCIA in memory of their son Alex who died at the young age of 18 years.
"Alex was a compassionate young man whom had he lived, LUCIA would have been the type of work he would have been involved in".

Liz and Jen are kindly running and donating to LUCIA a second time this year!
Please Click Here to show your support for their efforts and donate securely online in just a few quick and easy steps!
This time they will be taking on the Birmingham Half Marathon. This is a demanding course that stretches for 13.1 miles. It's not flat either - undulating through the City Centre and Edgbaston amongst other areas!
If you would like to know more about the Birmingham Half Marathon itself, you can visit their website at www.birminghamhalfmarathon.com

LUCIA would like to thank the runners and all the sponsors that supported LUCIA during the Birmingham Half Marathon on October 26th 2008. The final amounts raised are now in and they have all done a fantastic job!
Liz Broomfield and her running partner Jen Barrow have raised over 400 GBP.
Ian Anscombe, Alison Dingle and Annika Feilbach raised over 100 GBP.
Thank you so much to all of you. This type of support is vital to enable LUCIA to continue with its work.
If you think you would like to run in an event for LUCIA, please contact us.
Here are a couple more photos of Alison and Ian...

...and thank you for your kind donation!
Robert and Elaine celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary by inviting friends and family to a live Barn Dance Band at a club in Bebington, the Wirral. £500.00 was donated.
As soon as the music started everyone was up and dancing and a great night was had by all. Robert and Elaine said that they would be very happy if their guests would donate money to LUCIA instead of buying them presents: Robert shouted “we have more than enough things we don’t need any more”.
The couple have three children and two grandchildren and, as Elaine said, “they are all loved, well fed, educated and enjoy the privilege of health care. How lucky we are".
LUCIA would like to thank Robert, Elaine and all their family and friends.
