January is the time of year when Scots don their kilts and raise a glass and a haggis to the memory of Robert Burns. Our Burns Supper was seen in with the skirl of the bagpipes and out with Auld Lang Syne, and along the way we enjoyed poems, speeches, singing, music and dancing. Many thanks to The Kings Heath Sports and Cricket Club for an excellent dinner and venue, to the Cuckoo’s Nest band for a terrific ceilidh, and to the very many speakers, musicians and volunteers who all played their part in an evening of traditional Scottish celebration. Check out the photos on our flickr page.
