Hello LUCIA supporters,

I’m Kirsty, a 20 year old student from London. I moved to Coventry two years ago to start a degree course in Disaster Management, and have fortunately secured an amazing opportunity to work in Ethiopia on behalf of LUCIA/SWDA during my third (placement) year.

The work I did with the army cadets for over seven years has shaped my character. I am adventurous in nature and never miss an opportunity to develop and expand my knowledge and skills. Despite anticipating the move to live and work in Addis Ababa, I am confident that I will facilitate project work to the best of my abilities and prove to be an asset to the SWDA team.

I will be keeping a blog of activities I undertake in Ethiopia and uploading pictures of charity projects and activities, so LUCIA supporters can see where their hard raised money is actually going.
