LUCIA-stall

LUCIA, or ‘Life Uplifted by Change In Africa', is a small Birmingham (UK) based charity run entirely by enthusiastic volunteers, five of whom act as the charity's board of trustees. The aim of the charity is to improve the lives of people living in poor areas of Africa, particularly women and children in Ethiopia.

To do this LUCIA supports various projects including:

  • The formation of Women's Self Help Groups (SHG), promoting sustainable development within communities.
  • The provision of healthcare, food and education for orphan girls and street children.

LUCIA is registered with the UK Charity Commission, as charity number 1112674
