LUCIA is a registered charity, based in the West Midlands, supporting women, children and communities in Ethiopia. It is one of the poorest countries in the world, but is full of hard-working and resourceful people. We give community groups a helping hand to make the most of local resources and abilities, in order to generate income, and in turn to feed, clothe and educate their families. We believe that the key to positive change is to enable communities, particularly women, to help themselves with long-term sustainable development and to reduce reliance on international aid.
LUCIA is happy to announce the completion of this project which, it has to be said, has been plagued with problems and delays, from quarterly reports to delivery of materials.
